Name Plate

We were given a 2x3 piece of metal (our choice of brass, copper, or nickel) and had to create an interesting name plate out of it by using both exterior and interior cuts.

We also had to file, sand, and polish the pieces.

My name is a little hard to work with because of the o,d, and a with their negative spaces so I just stuck with my initials (which works since that’s how I sign my artwork) and I made a border that resembles a film reel. Oh also I used copper, since it’s the easiest to work with out of the bunch.
